KINDRED KITTIES ADOPTION TERMS & CONDITIONS |

All adoptions are subject to a 2‑week trial period<=
/b>. After the 2-week trial period the
adoption will become final. If
you have any questions or concerns during this time, please call us! A
representative from Kindred Kitties will be calling you 2 – 3 weeks
after the adoption to check in and make sure everything is okay –
please do not be alarmed when you receive our call! =
If at any time you are una=
ble to
take proper care of this kitten/cat or circumstances prevent you from kee=
ping
this kitten/cat please search DILIGENTLY for a new home. Understand that the over‑c=
rowded
conditions at animal shelters make it nearly impossible to find homes for
most cats. Adult cats
relinquished to shelters are often euthanized. After you have exhausted all of y=
our
search options, please call us. §
You agree that an unaltered kitten or cat must be spayed/neutere=
d by
the date specified on the adoption agreement §
You are advised that the cat/kitten should be kept indoors §
You must seek veterinary care when needed for routine visits or
illnesses §
You understand that the health cannot be guaranteed but Kindred
Kitties is available for consultation While the rescued cats/kittens at Kindred Kitties are
waiting for new homes, they are provided with nutritious food, clean wate=
r,
warm bedding, toys, and socialization from experienced handlers and gener=
al
observation for symptoms of illness.&nbs=
p;
Routine preventative treatment has been provided for your cat/kitt=
en
and is recorded on the Health Record section of the Adoption Agreement. Even though your cat/kitten
may have been given preventative treatment and/or treatment for the illne=
sses
listed above, this does not mean that they are not susceptible to any oth=
er
illness, recurring or new. =
We
will advise you of any ongoing treatment at the time of adoption. All further care, treatment, and
associated costs are the responsibility of the new owner. Cats/kittens may become
stressed when moved out of their surroundings and sometimes become ill fr=
om
the stress of the adoption. To
make sure your new family member is well, PLEASE make sure =
that
you use your FREE HEALTH CHECK within the two-week trial period. Kittens Unde=

Weeks of Age: Young kittens are very vuln=
erable
to “sudden death
syndrome” which may be caused by viruses and/or bacteria, and c=
an
cause a visibly-well kitten to die quickly. Although Kindred Kitties will=
use
reasonable care in evaluating young kittens prior to adoption, please
remember that many kittens may not display signs of illness at the time of
adoption. All
Kittens/Cats: Please keep in mind that Kindred Kitties is available
for consultation about behavioral/medical issues regarding your
cat/kitten. However, please=
also
note that Kindred Kitties’ advice should not be substituted for a v=
isit
to the veterinarian if your kitten/cat is ill. |
