Marcie was abandoned in a crate with a note back in February of 2012. She was adopted in 2013 but unfortunately returned not too long after that due to pooping issues in her new home. After getting her back and going to the vet, it was determined that Marcie has a syndrome that can be common to Bobtail/Manx kitties called Manx Syndrome. She has trouble expelling her stool due to missing vertebrae that kitties without tails have. She gets treated daily with Miralax which seems to make a big difference. She doesn't always do a great job grooming herself and isn't a fan of being brushed, so she does require intermittent "hair cuts" to keep her back end from getting matted up. She is a sweet girl who will always have a place with us if another home cannot be found to care for Marcie and her special needs! Recently, in 11/2018, Marcie had some mammary tumors removed. Unfortunately, one of the tumors came back malignant, but we are hoping the cancer will stay away and Marcie can continue to have a good quality of life at our adoption center.
